William Valentino
William Valentino, General Manager of Bayer's Corporate Communication for Greater China, came to China for Bayer in 1987 as Bayer's first foreign expatriate, opening and heading the first representative office in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In 1995, he took over as head of Bayer's Corp Science business in China until 1998,when he is entrusted with establishing Bayer's first Corporate Communications Division for China in Beijing. In 2000, he became Bayer's communications head for Greater China.
He received his BA in German from St.Joseph's University in Philadelphia and his MBA in Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona. He studied Chinese in Taiwan and also at the University of Business and International Economic (UBIE) in Beijing. He holds the second master degree in Instruction Technology and media from the Department of Mathematics, Science and Technology at Columbia University, New York.
He is the Chairman of “China Business and Aids Working Group” establishing in Beijing in 2004 under the global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS in New York. He is also the Chairman of European Chamber's of Corporate Social Responsibility Working Group and Research Fellow and Co-director of the “ Tsinghua-Bayer Pubilc Health and HIV/AIDS Media Studies Program” at Tsinghua University.

 

Ms. Melissa Brown
Executive Director of the Association of Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia (ASrIA), a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to promoting sustainable investment in the Asia Pacific region. ASrIA's membership includes a cross-section of global and Asia-based fund managers, financial institutions, companies, and non-profit organizations. At ASrIA, Ms. Brown is responsible for directing the research program and handling outreach to the group's Asian members. Prior to joining ASrIA in 2003, she was a Managing Director and Deputy Head of Asian Equity Research at Citigroup/Smith Barney. She has 15 years of experience in equity research in Asia and three years of fund management experience in the United State s.

 

Dr Boy Lüthje
Born in 1959, Senior Lecturer (Privatdozent) Dept. of Social Sciences University of Frankfurt. His Research areas are political economy of production and innovation, international division of labor, industrial relations (with focus on the U.S. and Germany). Researcher in IfS-projects "Transnational Contract Manufacturing in the IT-industry" and "New Models of Production and International Division of Labor in the Electronics Industry". Labor educator for German unions in the information and communications industry.
