Integrating CSR into Risks Management in Supply Chain
Many multinational companies have a long and complex supply chain in China, they start to take a systemic approach to control the potential legal and social risks, strive to prevent failures in corporate social, environmental and ethical performance that damage the companies’ interests, they rarely share resources or work together in planning and decision-making. Participants in this session explore a leading global companies’ effort to integrate CSR and risk management, and how to benefit its suppliers.

Improving Working Conditions in Apparel Industries.
60% of the world’s clothing is manufactured in China, however, the grand majority of the factories for this clothing are small firms, where labor is tightly concentrated. In the intensity of market competition, many factories are unable to comply with fundamental legal requirements or the standards of client conduct. The topic for this subject concerns the leaders and general managers of the world’s more prominent clothing companies, and how do they devote their efforts to improving the work conditions of their factories, and bring sustainable competitive strength to those factories.
