Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) was founded in 1992, and is headquartered in San Francisco. It is an international CSR NGO comprised of MNCs, foundations, investment companies and NGOs. Its main goal is to help its members achieve better business solutions in the fields of business ethics, labor rights, community relations and environmental protection. By June 2002, over half of the top ten of the world's 500 largest and most successful companies were BSR members. BSR has over 1,400 members worldwide, who employ over 6 million people and whose collected income exceeds 2 trillion US dollars. BSR's important members include ABB, Adidas-Salomon, Wal-mart and many others. The five BSR members Nike, Reebok, Adidas-Salomon, Li & Fung and Sears all supported ICO's opening of labor law support projects in Guangdong , in which ICO offered “Guangdong Labor Law Knowledge Guideline” training and put up labor law hotline and information leaflets within these companies' supplier factories in Guangdong. In total, the number of workers who benefited from the project exceeded 100,000.
